 | Re: Now this is brand new I saw Miles and his band quite often in the sixties. Many times Miles would play the head of a tune and then leave the stage to sit in the club and listen. I was sitting next to Miles one night at the Showboat when a guy came over to him and asked "Why aren't you up there?" Miles stared at the poor guy and said, "I got the best ****in' band in the world, I just want to hear them" I think the guy got the message. Forget the Benny Goodman "Ray," Miles had the scariest glare of all times. Wilmer |
