![]() ![]() ![]() | NYTC at Rayburn's 5/24/2005 It was glorious! I met old friends, I met new friends. Horns, horns, and more horns. I don't think I have ever played so many good horns one after another. Tony Kadleck, Ray Vega, Jimmy Owens, Hank Nowak and many, many others were there trying Felix wonderful horns. My personal favorite is the New York 7. It was like playing the 1926 sn#159 NY Bach I once owned. If Felix comes to your town, get there quick to try the horns. Wilmer |

| Re: NYTC at Rayburn's 5/24/2005 Wilmer, Yes indeed! It was great to see you and all of the cats. A good time was had by all. For those that couldn't make it out today, Felix and company came out with all of the goodies and then some. I had a chance to check out several horns out of the Stage 1 catalog. The New York 7 will be making a lot of noise once the word gets out in the market. Great all around horn. The California LT is one of the best horns that I've ever played. Unlike a lot of LT horns, the sound on this one never goes into shrill mode. The New York (limited quantity horn made in Austria) slots beautifully.......great focused sound...really easy to play. I love the Stage 1 cornet.....you can go from a classic cornet sound to a sound closer to a flugel. BTW-Wilmer's new Bach multi-trumpet bag is awesome. Gotta get one! Peace! |

| Re: NYTC at Rayburn's 5/24/2005 Yes, it was a great hang. Lots of high notes, a few low notes, and many parking tickets (Felix-1, Me-1, Tony Gambaro-2). Richard - you will not be disappointed! Your horn was the hit of the day for many. It was like a really good Bach with better pitch & faster valves. It got a workout there. More later - Tony |

| Re: NYTC at Rayburn's 5/24/2005 It was an absolutely glorious day, possibly the best hang ever.:) And of course, this would not have been possible without Wilmer,Ray Vega,Jimmy Owens,Hank Nowak,Tony K,Tony G,Tony D.:),JC,Oscar,Dylan,Ken Brader, and many, many others. And Rayburn Music...:) WOW............. I just want to thank you all very much for coming. Many high notes, few low notes, few broken windows........
