Re: Ray Vega

Hello Wilmer and Andy ( and all of the members of this forum)!!!!
I was online checking out my good buddy Tony Kadleck's web page, when I came upon a link to the Trumpet Masters site. This is really a wonderful idea. Getting a chance to dialog with players of all genres. I'll be sure to get a little more involved. For those that know me well, I'm way up on the so called trumpet geek list (an PROUD of it!!). I'm running out right now but will be checking in quite a bit.
Peace!

Re: Ray Vega

Ray,
I just checked out your entire web site and listened to the sample recordings. I'm from Brooklyn originally and have the sound of congeros from the Bronx, and Central Park on Sundays in my soul. That's why my favorite music samples came from "La Tercera" and "Sky". I really like what your doing with Bachiannas Brazileiras, combining Latin/Jazz/Opera! I worked for Manny's Music Store when I was a kid. I always wanted to be a funky conga player but only got as far as helping Ray Barreto pick out conga skins. I'm on your mailing list now, and am looking forward to the time when I can hear you play live in Florida where I now live. Thanks for your contribution to all forms of music, but especially to the art of Latin & Latin Jazz. I'm an "old guy" returning to his first love, trumpet. GLAD TO HAVE YOU ABOARD TM.......Blessings to you and your family...............tom/crowmadic
