One of my friends linked me to this on Facebook. He's also a trumpeter.
Just goes to show how everyone can appreciate great moments like this.

What's not to love?
Don Cherry playing inside? Maynard playing downstairs? Al Hirt playing boppish? Chuck all over the flugel? Diz........ well, Diz playing Diz? It's a very fine video.

Re: Take the A Train

There's nothing not to love (as confusing as that sounds).
A Train is one of my favorite songs to fool around with with my CD and book I got. Really great to improv with.

Re: Take the A Train

That's a cool video! That really answers the question someone was doubting a previous thread, Can Al Hirt play jazz?

By the way,in my numerous attempts in responding to the "Freddie" post,I discovered messages directed to me going back to 2007.

I sincerely apologize for my non-responses as I was not aware of this feature.
In addition,I terminated my AOL account circa Jan 2007 .
