Tough Shows

My career on Broadway seems to have had more than it's share of strange shows. Here are a few that you might not know-
Goodtime Charley- it starred Joel Grey and Ann Reinking.
Gigi- Alfred Drake and Agnes Morehead.
The Rink- Chita Rivera and Liza Minnelli.
Nine- Raul Julia and some of the most gorgeous women on the planet
Dance a Little Closer-Len Cariou, the original Sweeney Todd, and George Rose. This show closed opening night! We recorded it, though.
The Mystery of Edwin Drood- Betty Buckley and George Rose starred in this one.
Oh Kay-Brian Stokes Mitchell
Jerome Robbins Broadway-Jason Alexander. This one had the ballets from West Side Story, On The Town, Fiddler on the Roof, King and I and Gypsy.

The easiest show I played was "A Little Night Music."
Those other shows on the list were chop-busters........that hardly anyone remembers

camelbrass will become famous soon enough
Wilmer,

I saw the Mystery of Edwin Drood on Broadway when I visited New York in '85 (at least I think it was '85). Can't remember much about the music, sorry, but I'm sure the horns were smoking. I thought the show was fun.

Here's to more jobs like 'A Little Night Music'

Regards,

Trevor
