wilcox96 has a spectacular aura about
trumpet on 2005 revival recording of Sweet Charity?

I start Sweet Charity tomorrow (the Don Sebesky arrangements) and was listening to the 2005 cast cd. Do you know who played tpt on that? Really sounds terrific. Great style and very solid sound. Just curious...gonna post this at Tony K's forum also..

Thanks...

Re: 2005 revival cast cd of Sweet Charity

Don Downs was one of the trumpeters. I don't know who else played on the show.

Yes, it was Don Downs & Glenn Drewes. Sebesky did a great job with the charts, but they'll keep you busy. Lots of high G's and an A or two. (It hurt, but it was well supported.) It's a fun show ... enjoy!

Re: trumpet on 2005 revival recording of Sweet Charity?

Yes, Tony...you are correct. VERY busy. ha. It is a mute juggler and there is much to pay attention to. (tune transitions, stage cues, etc). More so than most shows.. but it keeps you focused and it's fun stuff. Should be an enjoyable week. Molly Ringwald does a good job, but Paige Davis just came into town to take over soon. Not sure if she'll do a show here or not. Anyway... there you have it.

Thanks....
