Wilmer,
Why did you pick those keys for Arban's pg. 22?

Re: Why Wilmer Why?

Periodically I get a chance to play with friends whose approach to music is slightly different than mine.
Lately I have been playing with Jimmy Owens...........he regularly kicks my butt.
Jimmy is truly a Trumpet Master! Keys don't phase him..........he gave me some of the drills that he devised for his students. Some of the material is written out, and some requires the player to do the work. The Arban is simple by comparison. His studies are chop and finger busters.
I do the Arban stuff to build my ego

Wilmer,
Any chance you could ask him to pass some of that stuff on to us? I would love to see what he works on.

Re: Why Wilmer Why?

Wilmer,
What I meant was, why not any of the other 7 keys? Why those keys specifically?

Wilmer,
I wish more people on TM would be willing to be "BUSTED". I'm sure you've earned the right to practice as you please. I'd like to hear, and see you play. Is there anything on YouTube? If so let me know what to enter in order to find it.

thanks.................. crow
