I got to Jeanne's lecture/demo a bit late, but I was delighted by the enthusiasm of the audience. Good questions mean that you have got them thinking.....they were thinking Bravo Jeanne!

With great anticipation I went into the instrument area. Some many horns to play, so many cases to ogle, so many toys. That was the good part...........let's talk about the dark side. I don't know how a player can judge an instrument by playing only one part of the instrument range as loudly as they can. One fellow was playing high notes with the horn resting on his open palm. I guess that impresses a segment of the public Next year I hope there is a lecture on "How to test a new trumpet!"

Chris Gekker played one of the best concerts on trumpet I've heard in a long while. I was standing in the back of the hall, so I got another dose of the high-note artists blasting away while Chris was downstairs making beautiful music.

Stu Satalof + Company gave the audience a thrilling perfomance of one of the tunes from Tutti's Trumpets. Stu's talk on Broadway was to the point.

Hello oh Wiseone! It was great to meet you as well. Hey everyone if you get a chance to meet Mr. Wise you'll love it. We had a nice chat. What a wealth of knowledge about the trumpet and the music business. Truly one of the few nice guys left out there.

I must admit that while I was trying some Stage 1 horns I played a few high notes. But I don't think any of them were high or loud enough to bother anyone. Lol.

Great idea for a clinic, I think that may have to happen at my show in Maryland. An short article will be published in the Dec "Instrumentalists" mag. concerning this issue.

Not sure if you are planning to head down to the Maryland Trumpet Day, but it would be great to have you. Maybe next year I can get you to do a clinic?

The young audience is spellbound with the sound of high notes.
You should have seen the jubilant reaction of the youngbloods on Nov 3 at the Univ. of Pitt when Jon Faddis belted out high notes.
He played to the crowd and was batting 1000 .

You guys ever see the Roy Roman Video showing the "holding the Horn on your Palm" high note exercise?

I tried it.......it should have come with an additional video.... "Trumpet Home Repair 101".
