![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Fred Mills TMers, It appears that our colleague and friend Fred Mills was killed today in an auto accident, reminding me, at very least, how precious each and every day on Earth is. Please honor Fred by playing every note tomorrow like it's your last and, when appropriate, raise your glass to toast a very fine man and musician. Stunned, EC Forum: trumpetherald.com |

For us the holiday is over: this is the mourning. However the future might be, let every chapter in the Book of Life be better than the one before! Thanks, Fred!

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Fred Mills I can provide some details for those wondering about Fred Mill's tragic passing this evening. This was truly a shocker for everybody. Fred was in such good health. He exercised daily, ate healthy, never a drop of alchohol, etc... He was 74 years old. We don't know what caused the accident, but he was in a single vehicle accident, where the car rolled several times off of a highway on the way back to Athens from the Atlanta Airport. He had just returned from Italy and perhaps fell asleep at the wheel, or maybe something happenned that caused him to go off the road...we'll never know for sure. I was able to see Fred at the hospital and he was in very bad shape, and frankly, were he able to survive, he would not have been able to live the life he would have wanted to live. We will all miss Fred's curiousity for music, his joy for life, his sense of humor, his story telling, and most importantly, his friendship. Here is a video clip that is very fitting- It is phenomenally beautiful and heartfelt playing. We will all miss Fred dearly. Brandon Craswell

| Forte User | Re: Fred Mills Fitting ...let's see another, that I like very much. It is a quite old CB recording. If I am not mistaken, Fred is on picc. Golden oldies.
