Re: NewTrumpet: Philippe Brunet

Hello Ed,

I greatly enjoyed the Tristram Williams concert, but I missed the last one. My friends (particularly those that I've showed this kind of thing to) love your selling point "for those of you who like really hard trumpet music".

Also: at the unused boat ramp at my beach, I dropped my tape player into lake ontario. In it was Taras Bulba & Sinfonietta from Rotterdam/Zinman in 1981. I wondered if you might have a couple stacks of records in your basement, having played with them (failing that, as I fear may be the case, do you have a better idea of where to find another copy than I?)

Re: NewTrumpet: Philippe Brunet

Hi Duncan,

I'm afraid that I joined the Rotterdam in 1986 and don't have the recording in question (Peter Masseurs was principal trumpet then, for those of you keeping a scorecard). Somebody might respond (?)

Do check out Philippe's concert online. I'll only be there for the 1st half (flying back east that night on the redeye to be at McGill on Monday), but am really looking forward to it.

Best and stay dry,
EC
