![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Party Like It's 1908! TMers, Sorry. I avoid non music/trumpet topics but it's my forum, damn it, and the Cubs clinched this afternoon at Wrigley. This is, by far, the best team in my long lifetime of Cubular frustration. Grinning like a chimp, EC |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Party Like It's 1908! Toobz, Playing in a divison with at least one good team (Brewers) and one hot team (Astros) slowed us down. The AL West this yea, is, well, the AL West. St, You're joking, right? :) The Cardinals have had their run and I expect to see them as competition again by 2012. I wouldn't mind having their first baseman and one of their outfielders, however. Basking in a beautiful Montreal morning, EC |

For me personally, this has been an exciting year. With the Rays and the BoSox battling, the Cubbies and Brewers , Mets and the Phillies, White Sox and the Twins. Lots of good races except for the West. Manny going to the Dodgers helped make the NL West a little more exciting, but the Dodgers and D'Backs both played like neither wanted to win the division. Hovering at .500 baseball for so long, it's a good thing they weren't in another division, both teams would have been out of the hunt a long time back. Even though my Halo's had such a strong year, it doesn't mean squat when the playoffs start. It's anybodys to win, and I can't wait for October ! | |
