| Piccolo Sound Edward, While looking through a friends CD collection, I stumbled accross a recording, "The Italian Trumet", that you made in 1996. I am curious about your approach to the sound of the piccolo trumpet. What do you think about or try to model your sound after? |

![]() | Drew, A chainsaw? Honestly, I'm not sure what you're asking. I sound the way I sound because this is the way I hear the trumpet. I don't "model" if after anything/anyone. The music always dictates what we do. . . Best, EC |

| Chainsaw comment... Does that refer to the actual sound or the fact you can cut through anything?? J, I would imagine it's gas powered... the electric ones are only good for thin branches... considering the company Ed keeps, he would need to cut through much thicker wood... |

![]() | Look, guys, I live in New Hampshire. Up here we know chainsaws (VROOM VROOM). Less so when I'm in Los Angeles. An electric one does the job there (tik tik). I haven't felled a thing in Montreal yet, but have plans (vreume, vreume) EC (former G trumpet afficianado) |

;) PS: I think Ed's baroque playing has been my personal model for years. Just don't tell him that (oops!) ;) | |
