| Re: A question we must ask ourselves: Yeah, that's the question I'm asking myself right now... everyday 24/7. Am I a musician, or do I just want to play music? I had stopped playing for a long time. I didn't want to play if I couldn't give it my all. Now I practice a minimum of 3 hours a day and would like to get that to over 4 hours, but I wonder if I'm putting myself in that box he's talking about. I know that I'm a long way from being what I know that I can be (about 2 years), but I keep asking myself "Is that person (me) that I see in the future a pro player? Am I doing the right things? Do I want it bad enough?" I hope so. I don't have to play right now, but I want to very badly. When I think of what I can be I get really excited and can't sleep at night. |

| Re: A question we must ask ourselves: My favorite teachers have been therapists whether they realized it or not. John Rommel Bill Adam David Baker Pat Harbison Randy Anderson Thanks for sharing that video Trent. Thanks for making it Ed. I also appreciated the "What It Takes to be an Artist" video on the same sight. I am a working musician, who has to continue to push myself to keep up my artistic endeavors. It's nice to hear such positive support. |
