For those of you who are late shoppers (ring familiar?) in making applications to grad school next year, I have an important announcement:

I will be accepting one MFA into the CalArts trumpet class for 2008/2009. What makes this interesting, and the point of this thread, is that I will be on sabbatical leave during the fall semester in order to give classes in Australia and Europe (plus concentrating on my class at McGill) and Tom Stevens has graciously agreed to be my replacement.

Most of you know Tom and his singular voice in the trumpet community, and I'm tremendously excited that his hand will be on the tiller while I'm away. He was, by the way, the first trumpet teacher at CalArts when the school was founded in the late 60s. What goes around comes around.
