Stolen Munch paintings

The art world is breathing a sigh of relief today as 2 Edvard Munch masterpieces, The Scream and Madonna, were recovered intact.

Many of you will recognize "The Scream". It depicts me watching Cubs games over this season on WGN.

Best,

trumpetmike is an unknown quantity at this point
This has made me want to find an organist and perform a certain piece of Plog.

Good to see that the paintings are back where they are supposed to be.

Follow-up in yesterday's Sun-Times:

A Cubs fan dies and goes to heaven. He meets St. Peter, who tells him that since he has lived such a fine life and endured unrelieved suffering, that God wants to personally greet him and answer any questions he may have.

The Cubs fan stands before God.

"Tell me," the fan asks, "Will the Cubs ever win the World Championship?"

"It's quite possible," says God. "But not in my lifetime."

I thought it was pretty amazing when these were so blatantly stolen and worried it would begin a string of such events. This is truly good news.
