Bluesguy will become famous soon enough
Bluesguy sez hi

Hey eveybody! Howdy from the Arizona desert.
I play blues here in Tempe on my 1935 Holton Ideal trumpet.

I've played bass guitar for about 18 years and drums for 5 and during the past year, I'm getting back into my first instrument, the trumpet. I started playing in 5th grade and by 7th grade I moved onto the Baritone and eventually the tuba, which inspired me to pick the bass up many years later. Now I find myself coming full circle at age 49 and loving the trumpet more than ever!

I found my Holton on Ebay about a year ago for a very reasonable price of $120! It's a beauty in near perfect condition.

I play trumpet, bass and drums at three different blues jams every week.
It's good fun and I meet some cool old blues cats! Blues is where it all started for American music... jazz, swing, bebop, rock.. they all have roots in the blues and it just feels good to play. Everybody gets the blues sometime so ya might as well play em out! :)

Hey Bluesguy. We're glad to have you join us. It sounds like you have a lot of fun at your different gigs. We have a lot of comeback players here but many of us did not keep up on any instrument during the layoff time so we are still restricted to sequestered practice sessions rather than playing in public. Also, some of us were off for a very long time - a couple at least are coming back after laying down their horns before you were born. In my case, you were at least a teenager the last time I played. So, we look to guys like you who have continued to keep at least one foot (maybe everything but your lip) in the music scene as fountains of wisdom and knowledge so keep comping back and giving us pointers. And, keep that Holton shiny. It looks like a great horn for playing blues.
