The Brass Herald I would like to introduce myself to this excellent site. I am Phil Biggs who publishes The Brass Herald magazine in the UK - I may have met you at the recent ITG Conference. The Brass Herald is all brass - all colour and written by those who know! The current edition is 92 pages and featues major interviews with Hakan Hardenberger and Marvin Stamm. Previous issues feature Maurice Murphy, Phil Smith, Allen Vizzutti, Derek Watkins, John Wallace and many more fine trumpet players. Please see www.thebrasshearld.com to find out more. I look forward to many happy hours on this site.

It's worth mentioning for the benefit of the US posters here that 'Brass Herald' while being a truly international publication also has plenty of material about the UK Brass Band scene with a wealth of technical and other info to glean. 'Brass Herald' is also beautifully printed and designed,...a 'quality' publication. Unusually for a specialist magazine, I read every page of my copy from cover to cover,..even the bits about trumpets!

The Brass Herald It's still not to late to acquire a copy of issue 14 of The Brass Herald. Work is well underway on issue 15 which is published in October. It includes an in-depth interview with Mr Maynard Ferguson which he gave to The Brass Herald in late June 2006. For more information please visit www.thebrassherald.com
