First message and hello Firstly, thanks for the site. I started in Jr. High and have played ever since. 55 years old. Not currently in a pro setting yet play with a Community Concert Band. Instrument is a Bach Model 37, mp is a GR65M purchased through the Chase Sanborn site. Trumpet, brass, ensemble and chamber music are more doable in my setting since local musicians are limited. I am always exploring new ideas, yet seated in basic fundamentals of horn playing. I enjoy classical, jazz, swing, concert, and dixie. I look forward to interacting with your members. I am a member of the International Trumpet Guild. Thank you, Dennis Franklin, Ph.D. Phytopathologist

Re: First message and hello Welcome to the TM Doctor Franklin. You have been playing for a long time too. This summer celebrates my fifty years with the trumplet. Actually, fifty years ago, my horn was just a little cornet. My Uncle introduced us. I sure do know a alot (and I do mean a lot) of musicians with higher education credentials and/or professional certifications. Music must do something to the brain. Even without the higher education credentials all the musicians I know are of higher intellegence. I must do something. It's good to hang around good people and the people here in the Trumpet Master are good intelegent people. You will learn lots. Again, Welcome aboard. (Boy, I sure hope I spelled everthing correctly)

Re: First message and hello Welcome aboard, I like all of those things too. In fact, just about anything that involves good trpt playing I like.
