First Post

Hello everyone. I thought I would finally try a post. I've been playing for nearly 40 years, although the last 20 have not been serious. I am a Lutheran pastor now and find time to seriously practice a bit short. Prior to seminary 22 years ago, I was an Army Bandsman. My current horns include:

1. Lawler Bb STS, 1a pipe, 25 tail, 23 flair
2. Courtois; Bb - 312L Prestige, Bb/C 105 Cornet
3. Willson 4 valve flugel
4. Mt Vernon D, Vindabona 236 Bell (with C slides)
5. Kings; Super 20 S1, Super 20 Symphony DB, Super 20 Symphony DB Silversonic
6. Other misc junk and parts (bells)

Peace to all - Bob

Re: First Post

For a person who has not been that serious, you sure have a fair arsenal of horns. Hope you enjoy the site

Re: Arsenal of horns;

I'm still looking for the one horn that will play all the right notes and have perfect intonation over 4 octaves and doesn't require me to ever practice.

Or - I have a few I really need to sell! Thanks for the note.

PS: How do I get this to post under the original response instead of as a separate response to my own post? - Ahhh, technology....

It does exist. It is called an MP3 player with a recording of Maynard Ferguson.

This does not work like a bulletin board where it creates a hierarchy of responses. When you want to respond to a specific post, you go to that post and click on the (QUOTE) button at the bottom/right of the post window. That will copy the text of the post into your response window and then you can reply to the whole thing, or parts of it as I have done here. (to do it in parts, you need to insert the HTML codes for quote and unquote for each section of the original post text.)
