A greeting from MASSACHUSETTS!!

Hi!

I'm Nikki! I play trumpet! I'm 18 years old and I've been playing for about 9 years. I only started getting serious about it in the past few years because I helped start a ska band out of southern mass. I'm starting college in the fall and I am a history major. I am hugely into ska. The Mad Caddies are one of my favorite bands because their horns are absolutly amazing. Some of my other favorite bands include; Big D and the Kids Table, Reel Big Fish, The Specials, The English Beat, Streetlight Manifesto, and older Catch22. Woooo.

How is everyone doing?

Hey!

A fellow ska fan! I'm HUGE into Reel Big Fish. I've been nuts about them since my freshman year of high school. I also like Mad Caddies, a little Streetlight, and a little Catch 22. Do you listen to any Less Than Jake or the old No Doubt stuff by any chance?

I tried to start my own ska band, but it didn't work out too well

Well anyway, welcome!

Welcome, Nikki/SkaTrumpetChick!

Where exactly in Southern Mass? Where are you going to college? I hope that you can take your Ska band with you!

Cheers!
Bruce

Thanks for all of the greetings!

I live in a little town about an hour south of Boston. I am going to Salem State College in the fall. My current band is about 2 hours away from Salem so I can't stay with them. I am however practicing with another local band from Boston, so maybe I will be playing with them sooon.

I do like LTJ and old No Doubt. A lot.
http://www.freewebs.com/lifeoftheparty22 is my band's website. We don't have too many shows coming up, but we cover Johnny Quest, Pete Jackson, and we did do The Science of Selling Yourself Short covers by LTJ and She Has a Girlfriend Now by RBF (I sing in it!!). Check us out!

Whoa! I'm excited to be going to school and living in Salem.
I will let you know when my band is playing if the venues don't keep canceling all of our shows.
