I guess when that quote appears at the top of every screen, it's a subtle hint to stop lurking.

Hello from Atlanta, GA (USA). I play a Bach Stradivarius and use a lot of electronic effects with an Atlanta band called dp3 (somewhat inactive) and some other projects. I'm currently working on a self-produced album and composing original material of mostly electronic/downtempo beats and grooves (with lots of trumpet, of course).

Welcome Andrew! Know of any good pitch-to-midi converters for use on stage?

Vulgano,

If you have Max/MSP or know someone who does you can easily use the Fiddle~ to convert pitch-to-midi.

Nope. I've never used a pitch-to-midi converter, though I read Logic Pro and Digital Performer have something built-in for studio work. My last project involved Ableton Live on stage, so I'll have to check to see if supports anything like that. I mainly use midi for triggering samples or triggering Live to record and loop samples on the fly.

A quick Google search came up with this link:
Parts - Axon MIDI System - Ed Roman Guitars

Scroll down to AXON AX- 100.
"Mono Input for using a microphone or any other monophonic audio input - This can be used for converting a voice, trumpet, sax or any other instrument. This function works very well."

I think Roland used to make some pitch-to-midi hardware. You could probably find some used stuff around.

Good luck in your search.
