| Greetings Earthlings Hello Trumpet Friends, My name is Russell Dixon. I have played the trumpet for the past 36 years. I am totally self taught as I never had the opportunity to take private lessons due to where I grew up etc. I consider myself to be somewhat "talented" in regards to the average player. I currently play a Calicchio R32L Trumpet; Bergeron Model #1600 Kanstul Trumpet; a Kanstul Signature Flugel with a Monette Prana (LT) BL-2J mouthpiece. I am a self taught webmaster; designer; optimizer and builder. My main site is TrumpetGig.com. I am trying to build a very enjoyable trumpet site geared towards jazz and lead players. I just interviewed Lynn Nicholson and am finishing a page on him today. I am a proud father of an adopted daughter and also a former competitive powerlifter. My 9-5 is a Psychiatric Attendant in the State of Ohio Forensic Unit. I presently reside in Ohio and hate the weather here. I am originally from north Florida. I am happy to be here and I love people. God Bless. Russell |

![]() | Re: Greetings Earthlings Russel, Where did you find Lyn Nicholson? I thought he fell off the earth. Send us the link to your interview. I heard him play in the Maynard big band when I was in high school. Use the personal message option if you would like. Jim |
