![]() | Greetings from North Vancouver, Canada Hello Trumpet-heads I live in North Vancouver, BC, Canada. I've been playing on & off for years (won't divulge how many), lately playing regularly in 5 groups: - a jazz orchestra called Jazz Connexion - a community concert band (North Shore Concert Band) - a Dixie group (the Docs of Dixieland - the name gives away my day job) - a brass quintet (Capilano Brass) - a working R & B funk band called Soul Demons I also compose and arrange charts for all of the above groups using Sibelius. Some of my music for jazz big band and concert band has been published by NSMusico, a local music publishing company (www.nsmusico.net/). My horns are a vintage Olds Recording bought new many years ago, a Yamaha YFH 631 flugelhorn, and my new pride and joy, a custom Marcinkiewicz Rembrandt 4X trumpet which my wife refers to as Lola, 'cause she's a showgirl. This website was a great resource when it came to selecting my new trumpet, so thanks for being here. |
