Happy Newbie Year !

Hi from Florida, Just joined today and stoked to have found this forum!! I just began playing the Trumpet again after a 27 year lay off..... feels good to be back and looking forward to the new journey this music will take me through.
I am looking for a new/used trumpet to begin practicing with. I'm having a lot of fun checking out what is available and learning so many new things about the Trumpet and it's manufactures since we did not have access to this much information back in the 80's when I was playing my last days in high school.

Any help or suggested are welcome, I'm here to learn and hopefully make some new friends along the way.
Good luck to all this new year!

Hi from Massachusetts. You're right, it's a whole new world out there - music from everywhere, horns too, play-along CDs, YouTube videos of trumpet players I never had a hope of seeing when I was a kid, so much information on these "internets" you can't keep up with it, some of it even accurate... I'm finding relearning to play the trumpet a lot more fun than I remember it being the first time around.

Re: Happy Newbie Year !

Welcome Bud,If your serious about trumpet playing, your going to love it here.I am assuming you already have a trumpet since you said you just started playing again.I would play you exhisting trumpet for a month or two, then start testing some" pro " horns till you find one you like and buy it.At your stage in life, why not buy the best you can afford. This is what I did .I had a 30 yr layoff and have been playing everyday for the past 10yrs.Its time to commit.Welcome and good luck
