Cool Hello

I'm an absolute beginner to trumpet and I was told that one of the best ways to learn is to hang about with the masters, so here I am.

My uncle played trumpet in one of the first show bands in Ireland and I must have got the notion from there.

There is only so much air trumpet someone can play before the need to play the real thing takes hold.

I have listened to alot of Ska music over the years and that also had an influance on my decision to learn trumpet.

Re: Hello

Very welcome to TM, bennyB!

I just remembered: some time ago someone
asked for suggestions what trumpet brand to
buy for Ska playing. As I remember it, he got
the same good suggestions as people always
get in here. Maybe you want to pose that
question as well?
