![]() | Hello All It was suggested the first time visiting after registering that I start a thread such as this to introduce myself. My name is Andrew Gulak, I live in upstate NY. I played the trumpet from about 10 to maybe 16. I was pretty good, but never really learned to read music very well aside form the actual notes despite that I played in marching, concert, jazz, and pit bands all through highscool. I used to memorize my entire programs from each of these. Sometimes I would have to have it played for me a few times to get it right. I was thinking I would like to get back into playing again, but when I picked up my horn after not having touched it for 20 years (or maybe just a tad longer teehee) I was disgusted by the horrid sound that came out. Not too much more to tell about me. I have 6 kids and a bunch of family who are all musically inclined and would like to be able to share that part of myself without being embarrassed about it. I have a question about one of my antique horns that I got from my father that I am off to appropriate forum to ask about it on. Thanks Andrew |
