Hello from Houston

New guy here from Houston. I play professionally, jazz and pop gigs, mostly as a keyboardist with a double on horns. Been playing since early 60's, started playing "pro" in '66.

Prefer palyers in the syle of Baker, Brown, Farmer, etc, but appreciate other styles as well.

I play music as a second career, and also work as a free-lance SLV technician.

I will visit as often as possible.

Duane -
Welcome to TM. There is a wealth of information here. Maybe you will find something that will inspire you to add more of the horn playing to your engagements.
By the way, I'm a comeback player and have never played professionally so I may be out of the loop - what is an SLV technician? (Sound, Lighting and vacuum cleaner?)

Re: Hello from Houston

Close. SLV is short for sound, light, and video. I build, install, and service pro-level sound systems in clubs, churches, and restaurants, as well as install, service, and program lighting for the same types of venues. I do a little bit of video, but try to avoid it as much as possible.

Peter, it must be a different Duane, as I doubt I would be a good piano teacher at any level. I'm glad it worked for you, even if it wasn't me.
