Hello, I'm new here

Finally, I have the necessary courage to write here. My written english is't very good, and I hope, that nobody here misunderstands me. On the other side I feel that I'm quite good at reading english and I have read already lots of very interesting topics here. Maybe some day I dare to write here a bit more, new topics and answers... Now I think I need a bit of encouraging..

I live in Finland. My home city is called Tampere and it is about 200 kilometres from Helsinki to the north. I'm studying to be a trumpet teacher, and my teacher is Aki Välimäki. He is the principal trumpeter in Tampere Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra. He is the best teacher I ever have had.

Some day, I'll be the best player or trumpet teacher in Finland. Or that is, at least, my biggest wish...

Greetings! No one here would have trouble with your English I fear it's better then some from Americans that I've seen.

Make sure to become active, there is a lot of knowledge floating around on this board. Good people with a lot to offer.

Welcome, and I wish you well in your endevors to become a Trumpet teacher. Sounds like your well on your way.

In another life I spent a month in Helsinki playing @ The Hotel Hespiria which was considered a major show room in Europe during the 60's and 70's... Sinatra among others use to frequent the room!

Where do I need german in this forum? Though I even have my a-levels of german (The worst possible score) from my high school time... If somebody wants to test my german, go ahead!

Welcome! Enjoy Trumpetmaster... people are very nice here and like to chat, answer questions, joke a little... it's all in the name of learning and enjoyment.

I have a good friend with whom I work, named Kari Sundstrom, who is from Tampere. He is our 2nd trombonist. I think you may also know that I work for a Finn named Osmo Vanska. We will be in Helsinki this summer (August) for two days during the Festival of Music, so, I hope you come to see and hear us. Maybe you can show me where to get the best fish for dinner!

Your English is excellent. There's no problem understanding anything you write.
