![]() | Hello, my name is Calvin Hedlund, and just joined TrumpetMaster today I am currently a junior at Peoria High School, in Peoria, Arizona. I've played trumpet since the 5th grade, and still continue to play it. This year I am in the studies of Jazz/Combo (first time), Concert Band, and Marching Band. I am trying to improve my playing each and everyday and would love some helpful advice anytime I can get it! I can't wait to view the rest of this site and I can tell I'll learn a lot! The trumpet I am currently playing on is a Yamaha YTR4335G (Intermediate) and using a Vincent Bach 5C mouth piece. The mute I use whenever I practice at home is a Jo-Ral Straight Mute TPT1A. Thanks for reading! |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Hello! New and Learning member here. G'Day Calvin, Be circumspect about which of us you "listen" to here on TM, the Artists in Residence and the likes of Rowuk, NickD and many others (with excellent reputations) are your best bet. Some of us are here for a bit of fun, as well as to learn and contribute. You learn lots by trying to explain - but the best advice I can offer is to research the question you need to ask here in TM before you start your own thread - you may quite quickly get your answer without struggling with terminology. If you don't understand, keep asking questions.
