Hello from Sydney's son

I sometimes scan the search engines for mentions of Dad (Sydney Baker, or Sidney Beckerman before 1939), and pop up whenever people mention him. He doesn't use the computer, so if someone mentions him positively, I'll call them up and tell them. Mom does use the computer, and can respond to emails.

If you have Harry Glantz things as well, I can pass them along too - he & Harry were cousins. Dad considers Harry the greatest trumpet player of the century.

This article from Time Magazine about 60 years ago describes the Philharmonic Fishberg family.

Not really. I was mostly a clarinet person in elementary/high school, now mostly recorder. I do play shofar, and can play bugle calls on a tuba, badly, but don't know the fingerings.
