I am going to age but I absolutley refuse to get old - when I go I will have been around a long time (I hope) but I intend to die young. All you here at TM, my family, and all the "young wonderfuls" in our local band are providing much needed assistance - ta.

Welcome, rhapsody! Glad to have you with us. At 62 I am younger than both Sofus and Solar Bell - I blame not having kids. I married into them and the grandkids instead. F'anything will keep you young, it's music. veery | |

I was also taught that Australia is only fit for convicts. That is why I would like some beach property--I am afraid of drop-bears!

THE Island Continent - Drop Bears are only withing 5-600 miles of the coast - we run out of any sizeable trees further inland, so the little mongrels have nothing to drop from, its the Big Red Kangaroos and the Death Adder snakes that get you in the outback. Platypi are coastal because that's where the rivers are (in general) but the males have very poisonous spines on their hind legs - so you can only bar-b-que the females. The spiders live near the coast sometimes under toilet seats (Redback Spiders - Black Widow family) under the bark on trees and in the ground/under rocks etc - Funnelweb Spider (if you stick them in a glass bottle and then torment them you can actually quite easily hear the metallic 'chink chink' at their shiney big black 'fangs' attack the glass, and Trapdoor spiders hide under little 1/2" diameter trapdoors and down a tunnel almost anywhere (and then there are numerous others too). They all stay close to the coast to gain access to moisture - my wife had a Funnelweb in the bathroom with her a few years ago, it was after the moisture and bundled up in a corner and looking remarkably like a small loose ball of black wool - my girl is a fashion designer so bits of wools and thread and fabric appear in the strangest of places (sometimes even the bathroom) and all over our house - it seems the Funnelweb has learnt to adapt and has invested in camouflage of sorts. Who's coming to the 2010 ITG Conference ? It's a fun place - don't forget your sunnies and your beer goggles.
