| Hey! Well, I finally found a forum that I might be able to find some information at Actually, I just browsed around and this place seemed like a friendly community. I'll be completely honest, I don't play my trumpet anymore. I used to back in Jr and Sr High band, but ended up switching my concentration to vocals and the trumpet kind of faded out. I'm here just looking for techniques for cleaning up my Bach TR200s and trying to learn what I can about pricing it and seeing how much it is worth. I figured I would learn a lot more here than I would walking into the local music store and having them sell me their cleaning products or whatever :) So, this is my HI! :) -aved |

| Re: Hey! Welcome, I can't help you with the pricing (though i'd like to know myself, having a TR200 sitting around in your room is a little wasteful...) |

![]() | Re: Hey! Welcome, aVeD! A cleaning brush (snake) is a must have for cleaning an instrument. Soap & water are the traditional cleaners. The Vulgano CHEAPO CHEMICAL CLEAN is to soak the instrument innards in Vitamin C powder (just a tiny bit) and water overnight, then flush the instrument with baking soda (just a tiny bit) and water to kill the acid, then rinse with clear water. This should get most gunk out of a horn, and it is kind of fun to play mad scientist! |
