Hi all trumpeters

Just joined the community of wise musicians! You all seem cool and nice!

I live in the south Sweden and have played trumpet for the last 35 years, guess I'm getting old... but not too old to grasp good tips. Hopefully I have some to give too.

I mostly play in big bands, but I have also growed up in the Swedish tradition of marching bands/music corps, which has tought me a lot of note reading.

Last spring I acquired a fully renovated King Silver Sonic B-trumpet from about 1963-64 which is outstanding in a big band, and it is so beautiful. Thank you Jack for letting me buy it! Before I played on a Strad. Bach 43 LW, which my daughter now plays in Engelholm Marching Band. Check out their site at Engelholm Marching Band.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Tjena, ulek!

Kul att du blir medlem!
Köpte du luren av Jack Andersson?
Han är min kompis och f.d. kollega
på Musikskolan i HBG.

Har själv spelat i ÄBB för länge sedan . . .

Re: Hi all trumpeters

Hej
Just precis, jag köpte den av just Jack Andersson. Vi spelar ihop i EBB och i String of Pearls. Har du och jag kanske träffats? Vad spelar du?

Re: Hi all trumpeters

Har spelat mycket med Gert-Inge på 80-talet och spelade för första gången sedan dess med honom för några veckor sedan.
Var spelar du nu, då?

Re: Hi all trumpeters

Spelar bara "himma" nu.
Sadlade om från musiklärare till
civilingenjör 1996, men slutade
spela trp redan runt 1980, då jag
träffade min nuvarande fru.

Lirar du med G-I´s orchester nu, eller?

Re: Hi all trumpeters

Sorry, Chuck. I didn't mean to leave you out of the discussion, guess I was surprised to find a Swedish guy here. Seems like he and I have mutual friends.
