![]() | hi from cumberland bc canada Just getting back into music after a 30 year absence. used to play bflat baritone, eflat euphonium, tuba, sousaphone and a bit of trombone, all at highschool band level skills. recently diagnosed with parkinsons, which has clarified my needs, one of which is to make music again. started keyboard, music theory leasons and now want to play the flugel horn. not expecting to play a lot of high notes or super fast licks, just some mellow jazzy sweet tunes and maybe bacvkup harmonies at our local jam sessions. i am looking for a horn and would like input into mouthpeice size. im thinking bigger is better for my lips but what do i know this is my first post so heere goes |

![]() | Re: hi from cumberland bc canada im thinking about using a program called band in a box to play along with at my own speed. i use it for keyboard and it allows me to perfect complex parts very slowly until i can get it up to speed. im sure i will also do exercises but i hope i can find simple peices to get the exercise i need |
