Welcome to TM, Milly! Glad to hear you've taken up the "instrument of kings," and this morning it was 7 degrees Farhenheit (-14 Celsius) in eastern Washtington.

Re: HI from da YOOPIE of Michigan

Amongst other things, I have been a horseman all my life. (Still have a beautiful Qarab palamino mare). There is a phenomenom with horses call 'windsucking'. A horse that is stabled can get bored and then start biting the timber rails of its yard. Apparently it releases an endorphin into the brain of the horse that gives it an addictive rush. That is the only reason that a person would play clarinet. Glad to see you have come to your senses. 35 years of biting bamboo cannot be good for you. Hope you enjoy the site.

Re: HI from da YOOPIE of Michigan

Welcome to the forum Milly, from one of the Southern Michigan "trolls".
Quite a few Michiganders on the forum. Yooper pasties are the best, eh? I survived a couple of years on clarinet before making the obvious choice to play for the next 54 yrs and counting!
