harboroughfox will become famous soon enough
Hi folks, i'm new,

on this site, and would like to introduce myself.
I live in leicestershire in england and have played trumpet and cornet for nearly 40 years.
I currently play principal cornet in my local town band, and play trumpet in an 8 piece band doing various functions.
I own an L.M.I.royal cornet, a B&S challenger 2 trumpet and have just acquired a pre WW2 f.besson meha trumpet from a pro player in the states, which is awesome by the way, and would appreciate some info on that horn if anyone could help.

Re: Hi folks, i'm new,

Welcome! Sounds like you have some fun things to play in and on. One question, though -- how do we pronounce "Leicestershire?"

Re: Hi folks, i'm new,

Thanks for your kind greetings folks i feel i've known you all for some time already.
And by the way you pronounce my home county like this, altogether now........... LESTERSHEER, and not LYCESTERSHIRE, like i've heard so many times from you good folks across the pond.
Speak to you all soon, must get some kip now just done a night shift at the print works, zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
