Howdy folks!

Hello,
My name is Dave and I am a 50 y/o comeback trumpet player. Started in elementary school, did the usual in high school:marching, concert, jazz, even German band! The thing I enjoyed most was pit band for community musicals such as Gilbert and Sullivan, etc. My current equipment is an old Strad 37/25LR in gold plate, Chase Sanborn/GR 66 mp. Lately I have only played for myseif. I am working up the endurance to play something in church.

Welcome indeed, even from us seemingly rude Vulgano kind of folks: Endurance for anything: just keep playing! "We are the makers of music: we are the dreamers of dreams."--Willy Wonka

So guys, what is stupider: my mug or Manny's Mets logo?

Hey Vulgano, is that really your mug in the avatar? You look like Father Guido Sarducci from a show called Saturday Night Live. He (Don Novello) was a comedic actor who dressed up as this chain-smoking Italian Priest.......hilarious stuff.

Oh, and that wonderful quote from Willy Wonka was originally penned by Arthur O'Shaughnessy. "We are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of dreams."

And lest I be rude - WELCOME DAVE!

Let's see... at a present record of 8 and 2 I'd say it's your mug.

Oops, make that 9 and 2. Oh, well... hits happen.

Sorry, that would be 10 and 2 and Pedro wins number 200.

Aw, shucks... Atlanta's moxie makes it 10 and 3

Doh! Missed a few... that's 11 and 4.

Well, well, well... 20 and 9... that logo's looking better everyday, Jerry

21 and 9... for today, right now, the best record in baseball Will it hold?

At 23 and 14, apparently not but it's still enough to hold the lead over the Phillies!

WOW, Father Guido Sarducci!
What a blast from the past that is, he was GREAT!
Wasn't he on with Tom and Dickie Smothers, too. Should I be ashamed too admit i used to watch the Smothers Brothers Show every week?

He was also on Saturday Night Live, which is really where his character really took off.

My mug, (to be seen upper left in the ARTA cd cover), not being Father Sarducci (one super-handsome dude, by the way) I can only give blessings to you all and inform you that my mug will stay in the AVATAR, since all the stupid baseball logos have been taken.

Arthur O'Shaughnessy--who is he?
