Introduction

Hello ,I would like to introduce myself. I am a plyer in our small [3 to 6 mem.] orchestra at church. We play mostly trditional hymns and I enjoy it very much. My wife bought me a nice Blessing ML1G for Christmas so I can truly say I got a blessing for Christmas. This has sparked my enthusiasm to improve my playing ability. I have been content for many years with a mediocre playing ability. I started taking private lessons for the first time in 40 years. I am really enjoying this new found zeal. To God be the Glory

Re: Introduction

Hi, Thomas! My mother has stopped going to church because of the music - no organ anymore, and she doesn't recognize any of the hymns they sing now. Funny how they stick with you - I hadn't been in a church for 30 years when I started playing the guitar, and the first tune I picked out (because the beginning resembled some exercise) was "This Is My Father's World." Your congregation is fortunate to have a player willing to go back and take lessons.
