| Just joined Hi. My name is Jim, and I just stumbled upon this forum the other day while looking at used cornets. I'm currently playing a Bach Strad Model 37, ML bore, silver, using a Bach 3C mouthpiece. I've been playing trumpet for about 27 years. I play in a large community band (>75 members) in Michigan (See Home Page North Oakland Concert Band). I'm playing 2nd Solo part on Bugler's Holiday tonight at a concert. I have been with this group for 11 years, and we have improved drastically from the days when we had 3 trumpets. Most the players now have cornets, too, and we are looking to play some of our pieces on cornet (as a section). I am in the market for a used professional model cornet. Looking forward to learning from everyone here. BTW -- I also play acoustic guitar with a church group. Also into motorcycling -- especially motorcycle camping. Have a great day. |
