| New Guy from Steeler Country, USA Hello! I'm new to the group from Steeler Country, USA, but that doesn't mean you have to give me a hard time (but I certainly understand if you do)! I've been hanging around for a while and thought I should become a member as I have really enjoyed reading the posts and I have been inspired to practice even more. I'm a former HS band and chorus director now enjoying elementary school general music (K-4). I took the elementary gig to accommodate my busy home life (wife, four kids and property). This allows me to attend their concerts, plays, and sporting events since I have very few after school commitments at the elementary level as compared to the HS level. I also teach privately as well. I've been playing for a bunch of years and I have taken a few breaks over the years due to "life". I'm not the best player in town but not the worst either (I don't think). As I said, I really enjoy reading the posts but I also enjoy the friendly banter that I see from time to time. It must be a trumpet player thing! I look forward to getting to know you folks better. Drew |
