![]() | new member Hey guys. I am from Charlotte NC and played cornet from about 1980 to 1990. I have rarely picked one up since then but am ready to get back into the swing. I have 2 horns currently. One is just a Bundy student grade. But the horn I am trying to figure out is my King. It has a sterling silver bell ( as noted on the bell in small lettering ). On the end of the bell it says King/Silver Sonic/King Musical Insturments/Eastlake Ohio. There is also some detailed etching on the bell. The inside of the bell is gold plated and the body is brass plated. The value buttons are pearl ( I believe ). On the 2nd valve is the serial # 43S 38. Except for the fact that between the S and the 3 is a small marking that looks like an upside down U ( but smaller that the other numbering and lettering ). Is this kind of serial number familiar to anyone? The small strange symbol is throwing me off. Anyway it is good to find a site like this and let me know what you think about the King. |
