New to the Site

Hello out there,

I'm Kirk, an old guy (56) in and out of playing since high school. I've been back 'in' for about 4 years now, and in the best shape ever (this is work!).

I play an early 80's (LA) Benge 6 with a Schilke 17 mouthpiece. I like the horn, but it's a lightweight.

I started playing my Dad's Conn 12A cornet, which I still have. It's an early one; 1937 with the coprion bell. (Does anybody know where I can get a nice lead pipe?).

Right now, I am in the Church wind ensemble, our community 'Pops' orchestra, and sub in the community band. So, overcommitting is an issue..

Hope to hear from you!
Kirk

Welcome to TM, Kirk! You are not an old guy, by the way--just no longer a rookie!

Re: New to the Site

You are not old. Did you check ebay, for the leadpipes? You never know what ebay carries until you check. Welcome to TM!!!
