Newbie From Ky

Hello to all -

I an getting reaquainted with my trumpet, after not doing much for the last 25+ years. Played in high school and college as music major in No. CA (CSU Chico). Local "Advocate Brass Band" here in Central KY has made me feel welcome, and hope to soon get back in shape. I have an early '60's Roth by Reynolds trumpet and for starters would like to replace dented first and second valve slides - hoping this forum can help me locate the parts and am looking forward to reading and learning from the posts.

Re: Newbie From Ky

Thanks to all and esp. advice on Lee @ Hurst Music, Lexington.

I have 3 mouthpieces and not sure which is best to use, or maybe I should get a new one. The only one which I can read the number on is a (Getzen) 5C. Any recommendation on what I should be using as I attempt to get the chops back?
