![]() | Newbie from Michigan Just joined here and wanted to say hello! I am a comeback player after 33 years. Been back since mid January of this year. I play in a Concert Band and a Big Band and am loving it more than I did in my early years.

![]() ![]() | Re: Newbie from Michigan Welcome Bob. You are now among a large contingent of comeback players. Most of us have the same experience that you have - we better realize now what we had been missing. Many of us have been away as long, or longer, than you (the record layoff as far as I have read here is 51 years). I just restarted in May but I have been amazed at how much I have found here that I never knew in the previous 55 years of playing (and not playing). Keep on visiting and reading and practicing and it will all come together. Good luck.
