You're in the right state--you can't spit in Texas without hitting a trumpet player. Welcome!

A lot of us are returning players who have come to the same realization. I have always wondered - it mariachi music ever written down or do you learn it purely by ear?

LOL!! Yeah its written down in the same manner as any other genre. We just like to memorize the music so we dont have sheets on our horns. Thats why you never see any music sheets when we play. But we do use them while practicing
