Noob Alert!

Greetings TM!

In my search for some information on applying digital effects to a trumpet signal, I found my way here. After poking around a little, I decided to join up.

I am starting to play again after a 10 year layoff and foray into other instruments (guitar and bass).

I am excited to get my 1979 Schilke X3 out of storage and begin blowing again.

It looks like there is a lot of great knowledge and experience represented on this board and I hope to learn a thing or two...

Re: Noob Alert!

Very welcome to TM, y-o-y!

A trumpet combines very nicely with a guitar or bass
also when it comes to playing them. I play some guitar
myself, and also I am one of the many comeback players
in here.

Re: Noob Alert!

Welcome Y-O-Y. There are a lot of comeback players here. Although with only a 10-year layoff, we will need to have a conference and vote to see if you qualify. After all, around hear a 10-year layoff is what some of us take when we just need to oil our valves (us oldsters move a bit slowly). So, (mumble, mumble, buzz, whisper, chortle, snort). Ok, we took a vote and you're in! But you have to promise to keep it up so we don't need to go through this all again.
