practice its never too late

Hello everyone My name is Ken,
I have been playing since 5th grade, and I quit playing the trumpet many times - because it was frustrating. This last time for 7 years, but I picked it up again (at 44), and after 9 months of practice I can now hit Double C/D. Can really only play softly to the F above High C. I highly endorse Asymetric mouthpiece for comeback players --- very frustrating to start with but worth the effort IMO. Practice is the key -- I do about 2 hours per day. Practice everything - tonguing, slurs, scales, chromatics, different octaves - above all find some music you like to play -- have fun and enjoy the trumpet.
