| Forte User | Re-introduce myself Sorry I have been on an extended sabbatical, guys. Been a wild year, and I have noticed a lot about this place has changed. A *LOT* of new faces. I have been trying to find a topic to dive into, but I figured easing myself through this thread would be the best way to go. ......So what's been going on with me....? *big breath* Changed my major to Elementary Ed this year, moved out, working, trying to get good enough on the horn to make a gig or two in town, considering changing back to music, changed trumpet instructors. My interest in music has went almost completely to jazz; especially bebop. ....Speaking of which, my interest in playing has been rekindled, which is something I thought I wouldn't be into anymore. Doing Music City Legend drum corps this summer, and umm... Yea. Played with their recruitment corps a month or two ago, and the group posted on youtube. Gotta plug... YouTube - Music City Legend Mini Corps - January 2008 Speaking of the horn, I am loving the crap out of my Stage One, and have completely retired the Bach Strad. ....Had an idea for a horn recently, too... Good to be back. Van

| Fortissimo User | Re: Re-introduce myself Good to you were able to come back to TM. Don't feel bad about wanting to change back to music. Last year, around this time, I was having a really hard time, I felt I was at the worst in my playing I had been since middle school, and I just lost interest, and changed to Biology. Over the summer, I went and helped at Band Camp for the highschool I went too. It rekindled the spark for music. I started practicing more, and within a few weeks I was a better player than I had probably ever been. I switched back to music and never looked back. Well until recently where I found that I am still a biology major since the Registrar never got their paperwork, so I am trying to fix that.
