Rusty & Out of Tune

I pulled several old trumpets out of the closet a few weeks ago...And I suddenly realized how much I miss playing music! I spent about 6 years playing the trumpet during my middle school and high school years. Probably the bes experience I had was playing in a traveling high school jazz band in Mannheim, Germany....I also have some great memories of tutoring with a member of the US Continental Army band.

Looking to get back into it and will probably be coming here often for resources, tips and advice!!

Welcome! I hope that I'm never going to give up trumpet playing even if it's just a hobby.

I am also a comeback player. I am returning to the trumpet after a 33 year absence. I agree with I it's been so long I forgot how much I enjoyed playing the trumpet. My wife got me a used trumpet as a surprise gift, and I told her she actually gave me back the gift of music.
