Gee, trumpetdennis, welcome to TM, and thanks for your un-biased and information-filled plug for the Shire! Why don't you send one to each of the Artists in Residence here and ask for their opinion? They count as some of the world's best players, and the Mod's aren't far behind!

Good luck.

Re: Shires Custom Trumpets

I am new to TM and was hoping for a quick response..I sure got one. Thanks for your interest. Come to Plano and try all six varities I have to demo.

"I truly love this horn....there is no limit to what I can accomplish on this trumpet"
Doc Severinsen

"These are the best damn trumpets I've ever played"
Rob Smith, Principal trumpet, The Florida Orchestra

"My Shires trumpet is the cleanest, most brilliant, most in-tune trumpet I've ever played. The response I can get from the instrument is phenomenal."
Steve Banzaert, Triton Brass, Boston Freelance

Uhh, Plano?

Prove something, dude, or I'll flame you as far as TM will let me! We have such types as Brett Getzen and Mark Curry as members; they are masters at what they do , and they don't promote themselves.

If you can't be as cool as them, and can't contribute to our community, then leave, and leave now!

Bye!

Re: Shires Custom Trumpets

I don't self-promote. My only cause is to help other trumpet players discover a fine horn and let them make their own decision. My contribution to the community is awareness that there may be a new horn out there that is just what a player is looking for. If it works for you fine..but you need to give it a try before you may your decision. I certainly don't spend my energies in trying to "flame others". My energies go in helping someone discover something that one of my heros, Doc Severinsen, thinks is a great horn. Try it and then decide if it is the right horn for you.

I agree with Mr. Vulgano. Chill out unless you'd like to buy ad space here, dennis.
